PlanetVerify provides companies with a secure, streamlined, and compliant way to collect and manage personal data.

Our Mission

Collecting Personal Data and Documents in a GDPR world is usually cumbersome, inefficient
and insecure. Many use email, routinely loading unknown attachments with all the risks of
viruses/ransomware and then holding this sensitive data in inboxes or sent items indefinitely
with little or no regard to compliance. Others build do-it-yourself web forms taking on the cost, hassle and security/compliance issues themselves, always attempting to stay one step ahead
of data protection law and of course today’s modern hacker.

Our history

Founded in 2014 we set ourselves the mission to solve this growing problem for businesses. We put together a fabulous team and since then have invested heavily in the development of an encrypted end-to-end platform that enables our clients to use a simple plug and play automated dashboard. Once signed up, our clients can, within minutes, begin collecting personal data items efficiently from their customers, employees, tenants and all with the peace of mind of knowing it is secure and compliant, providing both a modern and minimum friction experience.

2014

Launched PV for Real Estate and PV for HR products

2016

Moved to a more streamlined service-oriented architecture and launched Version 2 of the PLanetVerify Platform and Webapp.

2019

Awarded ISO27001 and launched QuickLink product. Integration with various property partners for streamlined response to enquiries.

2021

Launched PV Vault to allow users better control their personal data.
Joined NewChip Accelerator program.

Owen Sorensen

Founder & CEO

An electronic engineer with 25 years experience working as a co-owner and executive director of an Irish confectionary company during its growth from approx 40 to 500 employees in that period. Worked in a number of operational areas of the business including planning and logistics, as well as founding and launching its International Franchise Program. After experiencing a minor hacking on his personal bank account, realized that the area of personal data and identity globally was essentially broken and went about founding a company in 2014 to fix it. This was the beginning of PlanetVerify.

Mel Sorensen

Chairman of the Board

A physician who spent ~7 years each in patient care (oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic), in academia (at the National Institutes of Health) and in R&D leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry (Bayer & GlaxoSmithKline), Dr. Sorensen has served as President, CEO, Director and Chairman of public & private biotech companies since 2004 (including Ascenta, Oncofusion, Oncopia, Esanik & Galera) since 2004. He has raised over $400 million in private and public rounds.

Nick Suslov

CTO and Lead Developer

Lead Software Engineer / CTO  with 12+ years of hands-on experience in the software industry with knowledge of complete product lifecycle through requirements, analysis,  data modeling, design, development, testing, documentation, and delivery of projects.

Cobhan Phillipson

CMO

Cóbhan has over 10 years experience in leading business development and marketing teams in the B2B software space. Before joining PlanetVerify, Cóbhan worked with RR Donnelley. Cóbhan also spent some time in Boston working at Veracode and at a startup called Docurated — where he played an important role in scaling the company before it was acquired. Cóbhan holds a BA, MA, and a HDip (Computer Science). 

Roisin Russell

Product Manager

An experienced product manager with a track record in agile product development and technical writing. Roisin started her career as an aeronautical engineer, working with companies including Bombardier and Aer Lingus and has also worked on a number of smaller startups following a BSC in Digital Design and Innovation. BEng (aero) and BSC Digital Design and Innovation.

Kiran Middya

Global Head of Strategic Alliances

Kiran has over 17 years of experience in Strategic Alliance and Partner development across EMEA and APAC region. Before joining PlanetVerify Kiran worked with global IT companies like NTTDATA, GrayMatter, Clari5 and managed long term relationships with global technology companies including Microsoft, Oracle, KPMG, Thomson Reuters, Infosys, and TechM. He holds a BSC(computer science),MBA, PGDBM, and MSC in Digital Marketing.
